Pantry slidout

I have a 2012 29rlds Jayco eagle. It has a 7' long pantry slide. Does the slide require a brace to installed while traveling on the interior top of this slide? A slide a brace was furnished with the trailer. Thanks Jim

Jim,
We have a 2014 Eagle 298RLDS. Our unit came with a slide lock for the panty slide. We used it on our first trip last yr which was 2 hours away. Haven't used it since. We traveled from AZ to MN and back on all types of roads without any issues. On our PDI, nothing was mentioned about using the lock, even technician didn't know how to use it. Go figure.

On my slide the faceia has pullrd away from the slid box leaving a 3/8 gap. I was wondering how to fix this. Jim

Are you out of warranty? If not take it into the dealer to fix on their dime. Here was our experience with our previous Jayco, (26RLS) our slide fascia came completely off when we extended it. Still under warranty the dealer used liquid nails and a few new staples. Both sides pulled away and that is how the dealer fixed it. The slide ended up needing to be adjusted because the edges were dragging on the carpet.

Take a look at the pictures of this 2012 at our local dealer. Pay attention to the one with the pantry slide. I am sure it has or will have issues. I also can't get over how many hooks were used in this TT.
