Re-bedding the windows

One of my windows was broken at the storage lot, most likely damage from a weed-eater. I found a replacement online and with the help of my neighbor (also a TT guy) put it in yesterday evening.
As has been reported in several prior posts, the window is sealed with what appears to be a foam gasket. As others have done, I used butyl tape (good sticky, gooey stuff).
I have not seen any evidence of water damage to this point in my TT which is barely 2 yr old (let's see, what expires at 2 yr?).
BUT, after taking out the old window I could see that a small bit of water has been entering the wall area but there doesn't seem to be any real damage (yet). I plan to remove and butyl-up the remaining windows.

Back to the window issue. I talked to a local glass shop that reportedly will cut glass for TTs but when I talked with them, they didn't seem to eager. After a little inter-web searching I found a replacement window. Out of curiosity I began to take apart the old window to see what would be involved in glass replacement.
Whew! It looks like it's possible but pretty involved. The rubber strip on the inside pulls out pretty easy revealing that the glass is "glued" in the frame with silicone or maybe hot-glue and getting all that out would be a challenge.

The replacement window was an exact duplicate (almost) of the original. The trim ring (inside) was for a thicker wall than I have. I was able to re-use the original trim ring but discovered that while it fit the original window perfectly it was about 1/8" too short in the horizontal. Some careful drilling solved the issue and all is back to normal.

An update on the wall thickness. My X23B walls are 1.25" thick, the replacement window trim ring (mounting flange) is for a wall about 1.75" thick.
