Remove Refrigerator Draws (Drawers)

We have the North Point below. DW wants to remove all the draws and clean everything. The problem is the door doesn’t open up wide enough to allow getting them out. Has anyone done it and how.

Are you asking about removing the fridge drawers and shelves?

I think you are referring to DRAWERS (my grandmother from upstate NY pronounced it DRAWS) but we may need some help with this one. What door does not open? The drawers have a release on the slides on the sides that has to be activated to release the drawer from the slide. I don't know if that is what you are talking about.

I know I can't remove the plastic drawers from our Whirlpool residential fridge in our North Point. I'm not at the trailer, but I think it's because the fridge has panels on both sides that prevent the doors from opening wider. It may be necessary to find a way to release any brackets holding the fridge in place and slide the fridge out enough to open the doors wider. Not saying this would be easy or even if it would work. If another member reading this that is at their trailer can confirm this, it would help.

Is it possible to take the doors off the fridge. I know I have done this on an older fridge.

If it is not obvious from looking at it, some guidance should be available online. Google the model #.

On mine, I just remove the top screws holding the hinge, while supporting the door and it will tilt out and lift out of the lower hinge. We do have one drawer that we can remove by turning it sideways and it comes out.

If a door has controls and/or ice-water dispenser then there will be wires and water tubes to deal with.

We have the same issue in our Pinnacle. I believe it is just the right door as you are looking at it. The left door has all the wires and plumbing and I think it may open wide enough. If not the door(s) will have to come off. Bummer

You'll either have to remove the door or remove the screws at the bottom holding the fridge in place and slide the fridge out far enough to let the door swing completely open so you can remove the drawers.
