Replacing water heater bypass valve again

The valve on the hot water line coming out of my water heater on my 2011 X213 is frozen and I need to replace it. This will be the second time this particular valve has failed. The first time was a year after buying the camper and it was repaired under warranty. I am not at all plumbing savvy and would like to know (1) what is the easiest way to replace the valve and (2) is there a more durable type of valve to use than the cheap original type? The valve in question has a cheap plastic handle that rotates 180 degrees to open and close it. Would appreciate any suggestions.

You can buy brass versions online or and many rv suppliers. Spend a few extra bucks and never have to do it again. They also make 3 way valves if you want to do a little changes to the configuration. Eliminate 1 valve. Thats how many new rigs are piped.

Here are some I recently purchased. You would need 3 to just replace the old plastic junk valves.
