Water pump issues. Cold is hot, pump doesn't work (sometimes)

Strange issues started happening today. First time it this year with our x19h. (things were totally fine last year).

1st issue was the water pump was not turning on when a faucet was opened. Ok, perhaps it's due to air in lines as I had just reversed the winterization a few weeks ago (using city connection, not tank /pump).
This problem has repeated itself all day now, and a reset of the pump at the switch panel usually fixes it.

The second problem is that after a few hours of not using the water at all, the cold faucet in the kitchen ran SUPER HOT (not typical - they weren't reversed before lol). After the pump reset and a minute of running water at the bathroom and kitchen faucets, the cold was running cold again.

What is going on?!

I checked the water heater bypass and it was closed (as it should be). Floor low point drains are closed and tight. Water pump winterizing inlet valve is closed.

Make sure you indoor and outdoor faucets are turned off at the handles.

Ironically enough the outdoor cold faucet was on Earlier, but not now, and the water pump problem is still occurring.

Check the bypass on the HWT, if not in the correct position cold will mix with hot water making it cool.

Yup it's all good there.

I was thinking perhaps some kind of siphon was occurring OUT of the hot water tank...?

Have you tried to suck some water through the winterizing tube at the pump, this will tell you if the pump is working

No, but it is working fine periodically. It'll pressurize and get water to the faucets.
It's been totally fine the last hour or so while using it rather frequently... So I'm at a loss. Maybe it was just a glitch/air in line. Seems ok now.

I would still check the pump's winterizing valves. If one is not fully turned you can get some weird results.

If your FW pump discharge check valve is malfunctioning it could seam your pressure is fine sometimes but not running other times. When you don't have water pressure is your pump still running?

The pump wouldn't even run - it was like it lost pressure but didn't trip on to re-pressurize.
Is been fine since I posted this though. I think there was just air (compressible) in the lines.
