2006 Escapade Slide Out

Hi ... We have a 2006 Escapade class C with a slide out. The slide seems to be a little out of alignment. There are two observations.

First the wiper on the top of the slide does not touch the slide out, missing by an inch or two. (When there is a bit o a breeze, its no end of fun watching all the leaves, etc. fly all over the inside when pulling in the slide !!)

Second, the slide meets the coach at a small vertical angle. So, the bottom of the slide is an inch or so away from the slide of the coach.

Are these observations typical (this is just the way a slide works) or can the slide be aligned somehow ??

If the slide can be aligned, how is the alignment done ... could a regular guy to such an alignment ??

Thank you very much !!
