2021 GH Prestige 29 sway and steering

Good morning
I am new to the class C area but have pulled a 32 foot bumper pull for a while. I picked up the class c early this year and love it but have questions on the steering and sway.
I understand Jayco has upgrades on this model for those items but still feel a lot of play in the steering and certainly the movement in the motor home. I have no experience to compare to.
Others on here have mentioned upgrades on “older” models where they saw improvement.
Is there room for improvement with upgraded comments for the 2021 model? I appreciate the feedback.

I have a 2020 26B Greyhawk.
I added front Sumo bumpers and the Hellwig sway bars.
Both made a large improvement in handling.
Also, make sure your rear Helwig springs are properly adjusted, they are not from the factory.
Search this forum there is a lot about these upgrades.

Does your 2020 run on the new 7.3L V-8?

Last I saw, Hellwig has not officially verified their sway bars on that chassis. Wondering if the parts for the previous generation actually fit the new chassis?

Good catch it's actually a 2019, that I bought in 2020.
Whatever the year the swaybar fit easily

Dang, I was hoping you had installed the Hellwig on the new chassis.

Just because Hellwig hasn't "officially" sanctioned the part on the new chassis, doesn't mean it won't work.

LOTS of us have upgraded that sway bar on the previous generation with great results. I personally installed it, and it was a nice improvement. Along with the Roadmaster Reflex steering stabilizer and Sumo bump stop replacements up front.

I intend to eventually install a track bar in the rear for further improvement.

All of that being said, I haven't seen whether anyone has installed any of those items on the new chassis. Ford changed a lot of things with that chassis, and I'm wondering if suspension upgrade parts will be different. Based on OP's description, Ford did not improve the OEM suspension geometry...

When I first bought my Greyhawk, it ran all over the road and was not pleasant to drive....at all....
Here's what I did:
1. Had the alignment checked/adjusted, with positive caster set to the high side of spec. Positive caster helps with straight-line stability.
2. Installed a spring-centered steering stabilizer in place of the wimpy stock stabilizer. Roadmaster or Safe-T-Steer. I chose the latter.
3. Installed a Helwig front sway bar. It is much thicker than the stock bar.

Nothing is going to make the big box handle like a car, but I don't mind driving mine now.

Mine has the ride+ so there is a Helwig bar on the rear.

I did these upgrades before I put Yeti (RV) to sleep for the summer.
Just woke her up and took her to the dealer to have the pump recall done. That's another story

So this is the first I drove it this year. Immediately noticed a significant change in handling. I think it plays out like this:

Spring adjustment: reduced bounce, some sway, and roll

Bump stops: significantly reduced side to side rock and roll. I especially notice this going over a large angular dip at the end of our driveway. No longer feels like it is going to roll over.

Sway bar: Generally more stable and stiff. I suspect that this will play out when on the road at higher speeds.

Generally, Yeti now feels like I am driving a Van vs a large sloppy crate ....

More as I get on the road.

---------
These two upgrades were easy to make. I would say about an hr each.

The sway bar install benefits from two people. Ensure that you don't strip the fasteners by over-tightening.

The bump stops were one bolt on each side.

---------
After the next trip, I may add the stabalizer.
Trying to find someone to do the alignment that knows what the hell they are doing....

I also wonder, now that I'm thinking about it, how the Koni FSD's compare to the Bilsteins Jayco used to put on.
