A/C filter question

Since we’ve been in Florida for the last 2 month the a/c has been running. I don’t see a return vent that I could change a filter in. Anyone know where it would be in a 29XK? Thanks in advance!

If you have the manual that should help some. Most filters are in the unit's return vents at it's location in the ceiling.

If you have not already, you might want to keep all of the manuals for items in the rig in a binder or folder. It helps greatly when you have a question or need a refresher on operation. In addition, with the brand and model number you can research on-line for solutions to problems. Amazing what is available on YouTube.

Take a dime to the screws in largest vent opening in the ceiling unit. The filter is about a 1/4" thick sponge-like pad and you can see through it. It might catch the occasional long hair, but not much else.

We rinse ours out in warm soapy water otter. You can buy a sheet at a home store and use the present one for a pattern. That way you will ya e spares to swap out.

If you they fit you can upgrade slightly to furnace vent filters which are a fiber filter and much more effective as long as you don't choke your ac to much. $5 a dozen at Home Depot, about the same elsewhere.
