A/C Mystery

After staying with my parents during the pandemic, I'm back on the road. The problem is, my air conditioner has decided that sometimes it just doesn't want to run. Then, ten minutes later it runs just fine! This happens on shore power and generator. Has anyone had this problem? Suggestions? I have a 2008 Melbourne 26A.

Could also be a bad thermostat.

I thought of that. I popped the cover to see if anything was obviously loose, but everything on the circuit board seemed ok. I may just replace it anyway.

If your unit has been unused and parked for a while did you check for something blocking the air intake, birds nest, leaves or trash? Have you checked your inside vent filters? Also, did you check for a tiny amount of corrosion on the thermostat connection.

Fan set to auto? Or set on run. If set to auto the A/C will only run when thermostat is set well below ambient tempature
