50 amp, 30 amp, or 20 amp? Sounds like a low voltage problem on shore power. If 50 amp service there may be a problem with one leg of the feed. Could be a loose connection where it plugs in.

If you have a voltmeter measure any 120 volt outlet while you try the AC. See if the voltage drops real low (105 volts or less) when the AC comes on. See if it is low to begin with. Compare the reading while on generator power.

If you don't have a voltmeter, try plugging in something that you can see or listen to when the AC cycles. If the item dims or slows down or groans, it could mean a power drop.

If possible, try a different shore connection.

Just flinging some thoughts out there as you haven't given many details yet.

Ditto JimD. If the A/C is running on the generator then the issue is most like shore power low voltage. Do you have an EMS (Energy Management System or surge protector) either hardwired into your RV or at the shore power pedestal? Some will shutdown power if the voltage drops below a certain level to prevent damage to the compressor motor. If that's the case you don't want to bypass it you want to use a different shore power outlet.

Looks like you have a2010 Greyhawk 31. I suspect the is between the shore power feed at the post and the auto transfer switch. Easy thing to start with is check the lug screws to make sure you have a good tight connection at the transfer switch.

IF you have a voltmeter meter, check the voltage an an outlet when running both on Genny and shore power.
