The difficult part as long as your transfer switch is easy to access is the stiffness of the wires. They are heavy gauge and difficult to bend around to get them where they go. I have replaced mine twice. The first time the wires leading out of the switch to the trailer breaker panel were burned so I had to cut them back and restrip. This was a different brand of switch also. The second time I also had to cut the wires back and restrip and they are now much shorter. If this happens again I will have to replace the wiring from the switch to the breaker panel. Not looking forward to this.
