Batteries

I just swapped out my flooded batteries (4) with AGM, Universal Batteries UB121000. It seems that the AGM's don't last al long boondocking as my old flooded batteries. Any ideas on this will be appreciated. 2018.5 Seneca 37K

Have you checked a couple of things.

Are the cables tight and clean?
Have you tested the batteries individually with some kind of load tester? One new but bad battery will pull the others down.

Check also that your charging system is compatible with AGM batteries.
Last, are these battery any smaller in capacity than the ones replaced?

X2

New batteries 6 or12 volt?

Thought in 2018 they were installing 6V GC batteries as the standard coach battery. They have a lot more capacity than 12 volt batteries.

Yes to all. Cables tight and cleaned. No load test yet and charging system is compatible with AGM. I'll have to disassemble all the cables to individually load test. All batteries are new and tested for voltage before installation. Thanks

12 volt. As far as I've researched, Couldn't find 6 volt AGM's. I just looked and found 6 volt AGM's. Didn't know. Thanks

Our 2018.5 came with four 12 volt, I don’t think they started going with four 6 volts till 2019 when they went to the residential fridge.

Can you check what Amp hours your old batteries are compared to the new? Can make a big difference. Also are your new AGM’s a true deep cycle or a deep cycle/start battery, another big difference.

I just switched to six 6 volt Lifeline AGM’s form four 6 volt Trojan 105’s. Trojan also makes the 105 in AGM, there are many different 6 volt AGM’s
