Black Water Flush Troubleshoot

Hi there;
I just purchased a 2013 Redhawk Class C. I am trying to flush my Black Water tank but nothing is happening.
I hooked up a garden hose to the flush system (not the fresh water) and opened my black water valve down below but when I turn the water on - the water is not flowing. Does anyone know what I am missing?
Thank you so much for your help!!!

When I hook the hose up to the black tank flush valve and turn on the water I can hear the water spraying inside of the black tank.

If I go up and open the flush valve, look down, I can see the water spraying. It's loud.

You hear and see nothing?

Does yours have a valve attached to the flush mechanism? Also, check and see if there are any visible blockages in the line going inside. You might even run something flexible up the pipe if you can to see if there is a blockage, may be blocked clear inside where it runs into the tank.
Last, attach the hose, turn up to max pressure and wait a while, you may have gunk stuck over the end that will loosen and break loose. Don't leave it turned on and leave!

I think there is a back flow preventer valve built in to the water connection, it sounds like this valve may be stuck shut, see if you can pull it out of the water connection

Thank you for your response. I haven’t been able to get into the forum again until today.
So sorry
I did not hear anything when I turned on the water so the water is not entering the unit at all.
Next time I am at a sewer hook-up( I will try these suggestions. Thank you all for your help!!!

Just a possible "plan B", if the pipe from the toilet to the black tank is a straight shot down, you can always use a wand flusher down it to rinse the tank.

If the pipe isn't straight down, then one of these will make the turns.

Thank you!!! I will try that if I can’t figure out how to make it work.
Since the water doesn’t spray at all I am assuming it is the back-flow valve .
Is there some sort of “switch” that I need to turn on before I hook the hose up by chance?

This will not answer your question and no one will agree with me but I find the black water flush to be worthless. I stopped trying to make it work for us. We have teenagers and a lot of "black" in the tank. It does not matter how full or often I use the flush system, it does not get it clean enough. Parking on a slope and dumping 5 gallon buckets of water works FAR better than anything else so keep that in mind. To anyone who does not believe me try it yourself after you think you have cleaned it. Remember this only works really well if you are parked on a slope.

No switch on ours - you just hook up a hose to the bottom connection and turn on the water.

One thing you might try is a trick we use on the top check valve.

On the bottom, black tank connection take a needle nose pliers and pull out the screen that's shaped like a pyramid. Turn it around and put it back in, but this time put it in "point" first. Put the top of the pyramid in so it pushes the check valve open.

Then try to flush.

Should only take a minute and might free something up.
