booster

Installed a Uniden U60 with the flat interior antenna on the bulkhead between cab and house. Put the exterior omni-directional cylinder-like antenna on the top of of the rear ladder. Great for marginal areas with hotspot turned on for our Roku-native television and phone/laptop browsing. Biggest complaint is the dead zones in the AT&T coverage. Rural Idaho and Eastern Washington will have people using their phones with Verizon (I asked) and we have nothing. The booster won't boost if nothing to boost. Considering Verizon after 30 years with Cingular to AT&T.

Luckily I have Verizon myself

Lots of places I have cell and text but no internet for the same Roku streaming

Was looking at a cheap one for about $160... But may rethink that and get a WeBoost brand

We have a weboost rv and using Verizon. We can be 15 miles from the nearest cell service and can get cell and text service, but not always data, or not much of it. In areas where we only get 1 bar, the weboost will give us 5 bars and fast data.
Not too often that we get nothing, but it happens.

WeBoost

I use the WeBoost 4gx-RV. It works well but the secret is that your phone needs to within in a few inches of the inside antenna to get the best boost. We overcame this by mounting our cellular hotspot immediately beside the inside antenna. That solved the problem. Recently we replaced our mobile hotspot with a MoFi 4500 Wi-Fi mobile router that is SIM based. We mounted it immediately beside the WeBoost inside antenna. Works great! We use it with an eBay $35/mo unlimited, non-throttled enterprise account. But the MoFi router works with nearly all SIM’s.
