Electric Main Slideout 2017 29MV
Hello, I have noticed over the years that my 2017 29MV the main (gear drivin) slideout tilts up as it comes in at the beginning. It does seal evenly both out and in when closed and open but im worried this tilting is getting worse. I dont have a video of this but im asking for feedback from others if this is normal?
Possibly seals are are getting hard causing drag?
Loose electric motor under slideout?
Anyone adjusted this slideout?
Thanks Ted

My 2016 does it also. I can't say I'm comfortable with it....

My 2017 does it as well. So far I'm not concerned with it.

I am happy to hear that it isn't just mine that does that. I suspect it is normal.

Ted, this could be caused by a problem with the slideout bearing assembly. My front slideout used to sag/tilt while in motion, and it had since I purchased it a couple years ago from the first owner. While I was doing some work on the flooring I removed the carpeted toe kick and I discovered that one of the rollers on the bearing assembly had come loose, and had fallen off. Another bearing was about ready to go, too.
Please see this thread for images, etc: https://www.jaycoowners.com/forums/f...ers-83418.html. The circle in one of the images shows where the loose bearing should have been.
I was able to replace and tighten these bearings, and this all but eliminated the sag, and seemed go allow the slide out motor to operate more easily.

I have a 2015 MV and one of the bearings for that slide fell off and fortunately got stuck on the outer lip of the slide. The only reason I knew it had come off is because I was looking around under the slide just for grins. No symptoms from the missing bearing. My slide has always tilted up bit on the last few inches. Seals are good all around.

The toe-kick on my unit is held in place with bugle headed screws, like drywall screws. They are in the top one inch of the toe-kick board, about one per foot.
You need to poke around in the carpet to find them, however.

All FLUSH FLOOR slide systems do that by design.

That may be true Grumpy, but these Greyhawk units are not flush floor designs, and my unit only rocked or tilted because of the loose bearings. When fixed, it moves smoothly, without any rocking.

Well I have to thank you again Scoutmaster , the metal cam bearings were out on the floor under the couch side. Both nuts were there , cleaned and put locktite and slid back into track . Strange that the rear track bearings were tight and perfect under the table.

X2 - our dinette slide tilts due to the flush floor design on our 32RLTS but the others do not.

Tilt
Isn’t the main slide running on hydraulic pressure, not electric?

Tilt
My 2017 29 MV does the same thing. It is extended and retracted by a hydraulic ram and it has to over center when it starts retracting. Don’t worry about it, this is normal for it’s operation.
