Flat spots on tires over winter storage

Wondering what you folks do during winter storage regarding leaving weight on wheels. Those of you that dont jack wheels off ground do you encounter flat spots on tires? if you do jack tires off ground do you leave the leveling jacks down all winter leaving pistons exposed to winter elements and leaving that weight on those pistons? Or put stands in place under chassis and retract level pistons?

I have a trailer so I can only speak for myself. I hook up and take it out on the highway for a little to move the wheels and the grease on the bearings. I pump my tires up to the max 80 psi. Trailer is then parked alongside my house on 8 x 2 boards. I use 2 of those boards on one side so the trailer sits slightly off level for water drainage off the winter cover. It is parked from November to April. I have not had flat spots yet. I do not put the jack stands down.

Flatspots is an ossue with bias tires not radials. If you have bias tires once they warm up, they become round again. Usually takes a few miles.

Staff at the Discount Tire store I use tell me flat spots are tires are a myth. With radials, anyway.
I had taken a motorcycle trailer there that I had not used in more than a year. I was worried about interior-tire damage, from not moving the trailer. Not to worry, they told me, but if I really wanted, they would remove each tire from the rim and inspect it.
They did. No problems...

We park our TT on boards for 8 months at a time with no ill effects. We don't lower the stab jacks either.
