Fresh water inlet connections

Is there any way to change out the Jayco plastic inlets? I hook up my hose directly to that and it will leak and the threads don't always keep the hose attached. I even put some plumbers tape on the hose prior to installing the hose. That helped a little.... But the threads just don't always hold the hose on correctly. The same goes with the black water flush connection.

Yes, they are easily replaced. Besides the screws on the outside, it'll have some butyl tape to seal it to the wall. Look inside the trailer for access to the pipes behind it. It may or may not be easier to disconnect them from the inside first, otherwise pull it off the outside very carefully, and disconnect them from there.

I have had great luck with quick connect fittings. I am able to tighten the quick connect to the water fitting much easier than a hose. I put quick connects on all my items - hose, filter, pressure regulator, hose shut off valve, etc. It makes configuring what I want easier.

I also sometimes use a short hose adapter which I think may have come with my water filter. It helps relieve a bit of the hose stress.

You may also try changing out the connector washer. I might have added a second washer to mine which made the connection ever more solid. In any event, try a new washer before swapping out the entire connector.

This is what I did for the city inlet. I popped into Lowes-Depot and grabbed a short stainless steel water line for a washing machine. That's "permanently" attached to the city check valve.

Anything else gets screwed into the other end of the stainless line.
