Greyhawk House Battery Help

Hello,

I took my house battery out while it was in storage. Unfortunately I didn't take a picture

Now I went today to put it back in and all the wires are black!

After you finish giggling at me could someone please show me a picture.

I have a 2015 Greyhawk 31FK

Regards,

John Doh!

My 2017 Greyhawk 31DS just ate my engine and house batteries because I believe the passenger door didn't fully close (altho locked) and the overhead courtesy light remained on ....bummer, now BOTH batts wont keep a charge...$500 more bux to spend. All this is to ask, Where does one get a battery cut-off switch and where does it get installed?

John, are you connected to shore power? If so check your two wires with voltmeter, the one with 12 volts is your positive coming from the converter.
If your not connected to shore power, check for a ground, either follow the wire to the frame or use an ohmmeter to see which one is connected to your chassis, that’s your ground.

Your house battery should have a disconnect mine is by the door, the engine battery you would have to install by the battery. I keep a trickle charger on mine never had a problem

You say all. How many do you have. Look around good. One may have fallen down behind something. You should have 2 or 4.

Let me know if you're still stuck and I'll try to help you ID the wires better!

cavie,

Yes, I've got 5 wires. One of them for some reason is actually red under the black wire loom.

John

Patrick,

Actually those photos are great!

It looks like you have 4 heavier gauge wire on positive and one on negative. Is the one in the wire loom actually red like mine?

John

I'm not sure.
Hold on, I'll run out and check.

Back!

Yes - yes it is.
And I think I got more pictures of the insides, closer to the relay.
Let me know if those would help.
