Hydraulic leveling system

I have a 2016 greyhawk with the Equalizer System. I am getting a sound from the pump area like a screech sound. This only happens when the legs are fully retracted and then for about 3 to 5 seconds the screech sound happens. I called Equalizer and they said that this screech is normal and the system is building pressure in the system before it shuts off. Well the guy didn't want to engage me very long as I was and still am skeptical about his answer. Sooooo, is there anyone else that is having this same sound? I know if you have a Jayco C you probably have the same system. One other note, this did not do this screech sound when I first got the RV. It was about year and a half or so I think when it started. I tried to take it to my dealer but it would not do it when I had it there and when I took it home it seemed sporadic too and would not always do it. I am puzzled. Thanks, Bill

Mine doesn't do that. Good luck getting it sorted out.

Mine has always done it and it is a 2017. The levelers work just fine.

That sounds normal. Mine has done it for 3 years. Now....this current trip, they won't extend, but they retract fine.

I think you are ok, so move on to the next issues. Owning RV's is a learning experience for sure.

Good morning. Here's a trouble shooting guide. You might want to try purging the system. It sounds like the system operates fine so you might want to let sleeping dog lie

Mine has always done it. I don't think it's an issue.

Mine has always done it as well. I'd be worried if it didn't make a sound.
