Is this normal for the automatic levelers.

Just brought home our 2020 Odyssey 29V. First RV. (Upgraded from a popup). VERY excited! Luckily the dealer was able to get it prepped quickly for us RIGHT before they were forced to shut down for the next 6 weeks due to Corona. We used the automatic levelers in our driveway. The two back levelers went down and then it said leveling unsuccessful or leveling not completed or something like that. The front levelers didn’t go down. I grabbed a 4 foot level and checked the leveling in a few different spots. The RV was level front to back and side to side. The spot we have it parked in is slightly sloping (back end a little lower). Is it normal that the front levelers wouldn’t go down because the back levelers were all that was needed to level the RV ? If that’s the case, the error message was misleading. If it’s not normal, any suggestions? Thanks !

Yours may be different from our Seneca, but my best answer is NO. Our jacks start out with all 4 coming down about 50% of travel together. Then they all stop.

Next they extend one at a time (starting with front driver - then front passenger - rear passenger and rear driver) until they touch down and exert some pressure in the hydraulic system.

Once they are all down, then it levels the coach two jacks at a time (depending on which direction is lowest) until it is level (or is out of limit )

This is how ours work on our Alante too. However, we have also experienced what you are saying. I've usually been able to turn the levelers of them back on and it works correctly.

First thing to do is reset the null. This tells the unit what level is. Once this is done the unit will try to reach that position until it goes out of calibration again. See the instruction manual.

If the back end is lower then the front the weight will be removed from the rear axle. It is critical to your safety that you block the tires and keep them on the ground.

It is possible that the Jack's are real thing the end of stroke and that is causing the issue. After resetng null and blocking your tires place a few 2x under the Jack's to reduce travel and see if that helps.

Normally all four jacks should be down to.make the unit stable.

As the others in this post. Our 27U puts down all the jacks and then works it out to get it level. If not all down- think you would get lot more bouncing around when moving about the RV. Agree that lippert is very helpful - have emailed them couple times and always get good response.
