Jack not retracting

Jayco Melbourne 2012, Can anyone tell me why one jack doesn’t want to retract on occasion? Thought it was low on hydraulic fluid. It helped it one time but not the next. Goes up with emergency retract sometimes but not always??

Which system do you have? On my 2013 31FK, it had the Bigfoot levelers which had a pump and reservoir on each jack. Possible issue is that there is a “shut off “ plunger type switch at the top of the jack piston that tells the
Hydraulic pump to stop when bringing the piston up. If that’s sticking, it could stop the retract function from happening which could be your issue. The plunger switch also needs a piece on the piston to actuate the switch but if it is intermittent and seems to happen on retract, my bet is the plunger switch on that cylinder. It’s easy to clean the switch and you can use some lithium spray or WD 40 to keep the switch moving.
