Leveling Jack Issues and Solutions

Just done with my second shakedown cruise in a 2015 Greyhawk 29MV and the only issue of note was with the self-leveling jacks.

Mark me down as technologically illiterate, so if I sound stupid I am.

The first time I lowered the jacks, I did it without pressing the System Power button first. Lo and behold they lowered and eventually stopped adjusting. And lights were flashing everywhere. I couldn't raise them until I noticed the emergency retract button. Pushing that did the job. Still flashing lights like mad and no response when I pushed the auto level button.

Some research showed me what to do. I had to find a screwdriver with a square head, remove the panel, unplug the wires then plug them back in. After reading the instructions I realized I needed to push that system power button before I did anything else. No problems since then.

This is intended as a cautionary tale for other newbies. No criticism of the leveler at all. They work exactly the way they're supposed to, as long as you follow instructions.

Check the level of your unit w/ a actual level on the counter by the fridge. Mine worked, but it as not calibrated right. Easy fix per the manual.

Yep

That's exactly the manual I found that taught me how to use the things.

2x on calibration. If it's new, make it a point for your service appointment and watch them do a system reset. That way you can do it on your own if necessary. That's how I learned it.
