Melbourne 24L Water System question

I have searched high and low and have seen several interesting posts on the water systems. I have an issue when set to normal, pump on, it pressurizes the system, pump shuts off. Turn on the water inside and great water pressure for maybe 4 or 5 seconds, can hear the pump come on, but barely pumps any pressure at all with the water still turned on. Turn off water, pump pressurizes the system, and shuts off when pressurized.

Concerned about the lack of water pressure coming from the pump.

Suggestions? Thanks!

Have you checked the pump filter?

It is a new unit, and I did check the water filter. Perhaps a purge issue?

Sorry, or a prime issue?

There is a small screen bowl on the pump. If it is a new unit maybe construction garbage is clogging the screen filter. Mine has a clear cover that unscrews. My pump is behind the water control valves so you will have to get low and look up.

No debri in the water pump filter. Did notice that the unit will not pump from "lake fill" setting as well. Back to square one. May need to take it in for repairs.

Water Problem

I bought a 2019 24L with only 3k miles on it this year and chased a similar water problem for about 3 days. I changed shower head, removed, dissassembled & cleaned the pump. Boosted the pressure adjustment screw to 60psi. Nothing seemed to solve the problem so I started following every visable waterline looking for kinks. Finally after removing all the foam from the bottom of the tank (where the pipe enters the tank) I found the problem! The pex pipe was kinked completely in 1/2 from the factory and then some factory knucklehead foamed over it instead of fixing it. I wish I could figure out how to post a picture. It sure didn't boost my confidence in Jayco.

I have a couple more things to try but tracing the pipe from the Utility Center through the back of the box the line looks good. But you are right, it could be beyond the utility box where the penetration is going to the tank - which does have a giant glob of spray on styrofoam. Thanks for the heads up! I will check it out!

Well, I think this case is solved. Similar to Ji.dittes comment, I also have a kinked hose going into the water tank. Way to go Jayco! I must have had the same bonehead installer as Ji. I haven't fixed it yet, but it is on the list. It is the smaller flex pipe second from the left in the photo.

I found a couple braided white water lines on my Melbourne that looked just like this.
I asked Camping World (nearest Jayco dealer) to check out possible water pressure issues, under warranty.
Of course water issue was still the same after their "inspection" and then I located the kinked water line issues and fixed myself at home.
