Need Help

Hi my new to me 2008 Melborne has the old style ceiling lights. I have been trying to open one up to see what type of bulbs they take. Plus one just burned out. I have tried to turn the silver ring to no avail. So any help on how to remove the glass shade would be helpful. I will try to load pic's but they are sideways. These are ceiling lites. Thanks in advance.Click image for larger version

Turn the lens / diffuser counter clockwise. The silver ring is attached to the ceiling.

Got it

Thanks Nigelv. Finally got 2 of 4 off. I gentily tapped the silver rim, sprayed

the disfuser edge with soap and with rubber palmed gloves got two off. They look

like they have never been removed. Thanks again I was trying to turn everything

available but nothing moved. Bob

[QUOTE=cheska;667235] I will try to load pic's but they are sideways. [OUOTE]

Try changing the orientation of your camera to up-down. Also the pics need to be higher that wider. If the camera is sideways they will most always be sideways.
