No 12v on shore power

A new problem.

When I connect to shore power I have 110v at the outlets but no interior lights.

I assume there is a problem with the 110v to 12v converter.

I don't hear the tell tail click when I press the 12v disconnect switch and the LP gas detector does not come on either.

What does it look like? Is there a relay involved? All of the inverters and stuff
are located under the refrigerator, and its a genuine rats nest down there.

Any thoughts, ideas or suggestions?

Sounds to me like the converter fuses are blown. Happened to me that way anyway.

Thanks for the idea, I have not gotten out to the rig since I found the problem, I don't keep it at home.

Finally got out to the RV with a volt meter.

You are going to love this!

Some how the converter got unplugged. I can't find where it plugs into
so I ran an extension cord and now everything works.

I don't know if all FS's put the electronics under the refrigerator but mine is the
worst example of wiring and layout I have ever seen bar none.
And the access it through a 12" square opening. Even with the drawer out
it's hideous. What were they thinking?

On ours it's under the bed. Just a mess of wires.

If you are still having the 12 volt problem check your frame ground wire which can corrode. In my case the ground wire in the converter area was loose where it connected to the ground bus bar. After you pull out the converter with all power off try tightening all the ground screws. While you are in there check all the scotch locks and wire caps for proper tightness. They are put on by hand and can come loose.
If you are like me, this is also a good time to plug all the mouse highways (holes) you can find in there.

It's funny you mention mice.

The reason I was under there in the first place was I found
the hole where the mice were coming in. It was where the main
bunch of wires enter the space from under the coach.
The installer had drilled three two inch holes in a row
in the floor to pass the wires through. It took three steel
wool pads to fill the gaps. But it seemed to work. No more mice
since I filled them.

I need to post a picture of the area I'm talking about.
It is the worst I have ever seen. Zero pride there.

I finally got a picture to post.

I also removed all the trim under the drawer
so I could get some access to this area. I couldn't
fit my head in the original opening. I do plan on
putting the panel back in with a quick release latch
for the obvious reasons.

Not much in the way of pride in that workmanship. What a mess!

I have seen a lot of shoddy work in my day but I must admit
this IS one of the worst I have ever seen.

And to add to it, some of the wires are so short you can't
even move them and others are so long they will need to be bundled
with a wire tie or cut and re-terminated.

And as you know since the fuse/breaker panel is to the left of
the picture, some of those umbilical cords are like two plus inches
in diameter. Just lousy!
