Oil changes, basic chassis maintenance

While my RV is officially only a month old, I know that maintenance will eventually be required. While I'm sure quite a few folk do their own maintenance, I was wondering with regards to oil changes, etc. for the basic chassis do most go to a local RV outlet, or do you by chance use other outlets? Thanks!

I ask as the RV won't make it up my driveway (too steep), and if I start changing the oil in the street the Association will be up in arms.

My driveway is too short to fit RV. I take it to my daughters house and do it in her driveway.

You can reach out to a local Ford dealer, as well- some will do it if you aren't.

Driveway...Ford V-10 and Onan generator are very easy to service. Plus while your under there you can look everything over good. You will be shocked at how many wires, hoses and pipes are running around exposed under the motorhome!

I found one of my tank heaters coming off on one corner. I fixed it. I also checked all my grounds as some have reported loose or broken grounds. There are several of these groups of grounds that I always check for tightness and keep coated in CRC Electrical Corrosion Prevention Spray.

Takes me about a hour to complete all this as I work slowly.

Thanks. I was under the RV to mount a carrier for the sewage hose, and was amazed, appalled by what I saw in terms of wiring. So many wires and connections openly exposed and hanging there, it's almost like they're trying to ensure service work down the road.

Some dealers in our area service medium-duty truck chassis'. We have always owned Chevrolet-based chassis' and there is a full service MDT dealer behind the 'regular' car dealer about 5 miles from us.

We have never used them for maintenance but have used them a couple of times over the years for factory recall work.
