Power step disconnect

I would like to retract my power steps & keep them retracted while coming & going in & out as I have a set of steps with handrails I would like to use, it’s an economic porch but the steps interfere with poditioning the steps. Is there a way to do this easily? Appreciate any help. Have a 2018 Jayco Greyhawk 39 mv

You can just turn them off.

Most steps installed on RVs are made by Kwikee and there is typically a motor, linkage, and wiring. It can all be seen when the steps are extended.

Our recommendation would be to pull the plug-type connector of the wiring feeding the motor, found near the motor.

Please practice safety first and don't place yourself in the path of steps that may unexpectedly retract.

Nope, you have to pull a fuse disconnect a wire.
