Radio on using turn signals

I bought a 2019 Greyhawk 30x and when I use the turn signals the radio comes on. I have side and rear cameras. Can anyone help me out?

I have the cameras in my 2017 Greyhawk and the turn signals will indeed turn on the radio display so you can see the camera. I personally hate the cameras because I am not about to be looking at my radio display when I want to change lanes. The side mirrors work perfectly for me and I have used side mirrors for 40+ years.

You said yours turns on the radio. Do you mean it starts playing music? I don't think mine activates audio if the radio was off, just the video display. If the radio is on, when I hit the turn lever the sound will glitch a tad and remain playing.

Not sure I can help you but reminds me of when I replaced the radio in my daughters ford tempo. When I was done, it would come on when the passengers door was opened.

So I’m guessing the system powers up to activate the camera. What happens when you turn on the parking lights. Kinda sounds like there would be 2 power inputs 1 - camera and 1 - camera and their tied together.

BTW, welcome to JOF.

Thanks for your quick response. Yes, when the radio is off and I use the turn signals music starts playing. When i de activate the signal the radio turns off. I asked the distributor and he said the signal send voltage to the radio to turn on so I can see the camera

That's true for our unit. Flipping on the turn signal fires up the screen on the radio.

Since I've found the side cameras "less than useless" I disabled them entirely.
