Does anyone use those reflective sunscreens in their cab (class c) to keep thinks cool inside when parked and camping? If so, how effective is it and what brand did you us? Do you also us them on the driver/passenger windows?

Thanks.

Sunscreen

We use the roll that you buy at the big box home improvement store less than $20 for a roll and just cut it to size and it makes a big difference - I’m sure that there are better and more expensive options but we needed a “ temporary “ solution in 108 degree temps and are still using it almost 3 years later - it worked for us

They make a cover that goes on the front and it covers all the windows. Works great! Very effective at cutting down on the heat and sun. It fastens to the corners of the doors (you open door and slip the corner over then close the door) and magnets. It has never blown off and we have used it in some windy conditions. Got mine at RVUpgrades less than fifty bucks. Good quality for the money!

I did the more expensive version, MagneShade, which attaches outside and stops the heat buildup before it enters the coach. Its a mesh screen so you get to see outside. With the foil solution your view is blocked...if that makes any difference. There are other manufacturers at lower cost. Suggest a search as this was a topic not too long ago.

What's the exact name of the product? I couldn't find it on the website.

I use the heatshield brand of inside reflective shield. They are custom fit, windshield with or without rear view mirror, and sides. Not Cheap, but work extremely well keeping the heat out and privacy.

We use the foil roll in storage and the outside cover when camping. Our cover has Velcro tabs for holding panels over each window and we close them at night for privacy.

We just used a regular windshield shade made for a truck or car. Worked well, folded up and went up on the space above the driving seats. Our's also had a OEM curtain that covered the cab windows.

We also have the curtain and will use it while camping in lieu of the outside cover if we don't have time or forget to put it up the first day.

We use a number of options, depending on how long we will stay in a location.
We have the outside sun cover, but that's a little but of effort to put on. We have the circular reflective oval panels that can kinda twist and fold up. We have 2 sets and use them for overnights and cooling effects, if the cab is getting hot. Sometimes we only put them on the afternoon west side window and part of windshield, just to cool things down.
.
Options work, ADAPT and overcome.

We purchased ones from HeatShield that were designed for our Jayco Melbourne 24L build on a Mercedes 3500 chasis. We use both the windshield and side window screens. They really do knock down the heat.

I researched many of the options last year and went with Heatshield and Sunpro
