Seneca/Accolade Air Dump

Ok folks, question time before I call Jayco.

The other day when I returned from the dealer for warranty worked I backed the coach (2020 Accolade 37TS) into its assigned parking spot at the house. After setting the parking brake and shutting down the engine I hit the Auto Level button, waited a minute or two and jumped out of the coach about 30 seconds after jumping out I heard the tell tale sound of escaping air under pressure. Immediately I thought flat tire. Due to time constraints I had to wait until today to do some checking. All 6 tires are at 90 PSI (outside temp 45 degrees). So if not a tire where was the air coming from.

I guess, and right now it is a guess on my part, there is an air dump incorporated into the leveling system. I ran Auto Level 3 times starting an running the coach after each retract to replenish the air in the secondary air tank, and each time when the rear jacks contacted the ground and began leveling the rear of the coach is when I would start hearing the air escaping under pressure.

Is my guess or hunch correct, is something else happening, or do I need to call Jayco for a question and answer session?

BTW, I could not hear the air escaping if I was inside the coach during the leveling process. I had to be outside the coach and standing near the rear wheels.

This is normal and not the same as an actual "air dump" What is happening is the rear suspension is releasing the air from the bags because the frame is lifting up and the automatic ride height valves are thinking its to high and letting air out to keep the tires on the ground. The ride height valve is just a mechanical linkage between the axle and the valve. Many people will run the leveling jacks several times without starting the engine to get the air out of the suspension and while this works its excessive running of the jacks IMO and I have also read to not run the jacks over 2 cycles without letting the hydraulic pump motor cool down. With and actual air dump system you can immediately drop the coach almost 3" in the rear and then start leveling.

We camp on some pretty remote curvy roads with tree covering that we run at about 35mph. Its interesting driving with the windows down, you can hear the rear air suspension constantly adjusting as the coach rolls back and forth, always hissing from one side to the other to keep it level.
