My house battery compartment is in need of a good cleaning. I need some suggestions on how you guys clean your batteries and the tray.

I try not to direct the spray at the solenoids and fuses mounted at the top front of the compartment, but I do frequently wash the batteries and their slideout tray. Never had any issues!
