Silde Out Toppers - Yah or Nah?

Hey Guys,

I'm trying to decide if its worth asking my dealer to install slide out toppers on my new coach. I can't decide if its a worthwhile investment or not.

Can you guys chime in as to whether or not you have them or don't? Or don't and wish you had? Have them but think you wasted your money?

We like them, keeps rain, leaves ect. off the slide out roof. Worth the money.

I had one installed b4 picking up my Greyhawk. Couldn't see risking a walnut dropping on top and not knowing b4 bringing in the slide.

We spend 4 to 5 months each year in Florida. No question the toppers keep the area under our slides cooler. We did not have toppers in our previous unit and the area under the slides was always warmer. No question that I would purchase them again.

We like the shaded campsites in state parks which means pine cones, acorns and small limbs drop. The slide topper keeps me from having to climb on the roof before pulling it in. I like having it up there.

Would you like to have "issues" with leaves, branches etc on your slide-outs ? Rain? Even slide-out not closing all the way? ......

We like them. Except when the wind is blowing hard from front or back and they vibrate like a bass saxophone.
