Silly question about entrance door

I checked many Youtube vids and it seems that they show outdoor features then go indoors without showing opening the door.
So my question is when you open the entrance door does the screen door open at the same time or does the screen door stay put until opened, in other words do you open the one door at a time? Thanks

The latch is designed so that the screen door opens with the main door. It can then be unlatched so that it closes while leaving the entrance door open.

Thanks Grumpy. That’s what I thought, my main door opens without opening the screen door. Guess I’ll have to find a fix.

Mine did the same thing I just had to adjust the latch down on the inside of the exterior door where the screen latches to it.

We have a 2022 Jay Flight Baja 183RB. The 2 doors can be closed together, but ours usually separate. End of closing the screen first, then giving the outside door a bit more force to shut it. Maybe there is a better solution?

On the subject, the Camco screen door handle is the best cheap easy mod possible.

Is that the crossbar you’re talking about? If so, I just ordered one

Ah!! I just ordered one of these, thinking that it might make it easier to close the screen door. Does it come with reasonably simple instructions for installation?
