Here it is:
The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) issued a new safety recall of certain Jayco, Inc. (Jayco) buses, medium, and heavy vehicles. The recall states the affected vehicle models’ adhesive bond between the glass and the metal hinge frame of its frameless windows may fail, which would then allow the glass to detach and fall out.
According to the administration, 2020 Motorized Alante, Greyhawk, Melbourne, Precept, Redhawk, Seneca, Accolade, Emblem, Esteem, Odyssey, Qwest, and Vision RVs are included in the recall.
“If the window glass detaches while the vehicle and/or trailer is in transit, it could become a projectile, increasing the risk of a crash, personal injury and/ or property damage. Jayco is not aware of any crashes or injuries related to this condition,” a portion of the NHTSA release reads.
According to the release, Lippert Components Inc. (LCI), changed adhesive products on the 3000 series windows produced from January 6, 2020 through January 23, 2020. When the company first became aware of adhesion failure causing glass to fall out, it immediately switched back.
