Step rugs

Do you use step rugs? I have before but...

I was wondering if they might interfere with the power step? I see them being used on motor homes and I did in the past on power steps but just curious what others do.

I don’t see a problem but not wanting to put a bind or strain on the step motor or closing mechanism.

We have had them over the years on various motorhomes and steps for various reasons but no longer use them.
Never a problem with interference. Now, attracting dirt and mud and holding onto it, or premature rotting due to the summer sun, or even remaining wet for extended periods, those issues were enough not to use them any longer.

I would like to use them but think they would retain moisture underneath leading to premature corrosion of the metal step underneath. Are they as slip resistant as the traction strips?
