TSD Fuel Discount Program

Are there others on the TSD Fuel Discount Program? If so tell me about your experience with it. We are thinking about signing up but would like to hear from others on this topic!

Be interesting to hear but right now both Costco and Sam's Club are charging the same price as all the other stations and in a couple of cases in town higher. I don't think there are discounts on fuel available or they would be passing them on.

Sam's credit card gives 5% cash back. Costco's credit card gives 4% cash back.

That is everyday but the ten to twenty cent lower price on their fuel at the pump is nonexistent right now. That was my point. My Chase and AmEx give me better point benefits.

And hang on because the price increases on products is going to eat that 4-5% up in short order. My cross country truck driving nephew is putting $4000 to $5000 a week in diesel in his truck. How long do you think Costco will eat that cost?

I don't like programs like that as you let them take the money out of your checking account. To many stories of almost impossible to get back withdrawals.
I would rather get a few cents back on my credit card.

I do use Fuel Rewards on Shell purchases. I get a bonus 5 cents each week due to having a T-Mobile phone and occasional other discouts. I also carry a Pilot discount card and Krogers. All are no fee, use your regular cards. But 5 or 10 cents isn't much anymore at $4 plus and going up!

I have used the TSD program for 3 years. I have had zero problems except, east coast has few participants. West of the Mississippi is great.
I was also concerned about giving up my bank info but, in today's world, there really is nothing secure.

Couldn't understand why they needed my SS number, and why I couldn't attach payments to a credit card instead of furnishing my bank info. Turns out neither one of these questions mattered, because there are no stations in Michigan's Upper Peninsula that are part of this program.

Interesting they want your SSN. Just fyi, they don’t want to tie it to a credit card as they would lose 2.5 to 3% on the transaction that the cc company would charge them.

Curious myself on the SS number. So I called them, seems like good customer service,
they want your SS number and your bank account numbers for anyone subscribing because they don't do a credit check.
Whatever, I found out it's not going to work for me anyway.

I use Open Roads (TSD) and Mudflap. Mudflap is linked to a credit card and easy to use. They don’t have as many as TSD and are usually smaller truck stops which is actually a good thing. The price they advertise for a particular truck stop is the price you pay unlike TSD which takes 10 percent of cost difference and usually $.65 fee.
