Sorry, but this statement is totally untrue. My daughter's 2020 fusion's fuel door is opened by pushing on the door to release the catch and it does not have a fuel cap. There are quite a few brands out there that have the same setup and I haven't heard a news report air read a news article in ages related to fuel theft or sabotage.

The current gas tanks have an anti siphon device built in. Therefore no need to lock.

Gasoline is almost never stolen from the filler. They now just drill a hole in the tank.

I just found one on ebay for my Jayco 2020 29mv with a Ford 4500. It took me some searching to find it. Went to Ford dealerships and they were no help. If this matches for what you need let me know.

It doesn't make sense to me either. Seems like it would be tempting for thieves to siphon your gas, especially when gas prices are high.

I'm scratching my head on this question of locking gas caps. Pretty sure I have enough other things on my RV to be concerned about. If someone needs my gas that bad I trust they will use it wisely. If they dope my tank then I'm sure I must have been a bad neighbor.

My toad Jeep has no lock on the gas cap and yet still I sleep well at night.

Any gas cap cover that is 'locked' by a pull leaver inside the vehicle can be jimmied open using a screwdriver. Nothing is safe. Locks keep honest people out.

You rarely sleep in the toad, but with 60 or 70 gallons of highly combustable/ explosive fuel in your RV tank, while you sleep, where ever you are, there should be a lock on the fuel tank.

We have locking caps on our two saddle tanks and the DEF tank. Not so much for making it inconvenient to offload the contents, but rather for adding something 'bad' to the tanks that would ruin the engine. There is always the risk the caps may not unlock too which would make for a bad day. I think the catalytic exhaust components are much more of a theft target than fuel and DEF.
