Betty the BH154 Has no House Battery Power

Betty's DC power does not work, unless she is plugged into the tow vehicle wiring, even though her battery is charged to 100%. I've checked every fuse and they all show good. Is there a switch to tell Betty to use her house battery, instead of her tow vehicle battery? We boondock, often, but usually leave Burt Munro (2014 Toyota Sienna) plugged into Betty. On occasion we need to unplug Burt, and then we have no furnace on chilly nights--which does not make my wife happy.

A bad ground between the battery and the frame has come up fairly often in the past. Also, there is a fuse or breaker in the line between the battery and the wire to the main breaker box. This breaker or fuse could go bad or there has been corrosion or just a poor connection on that line.

Start at the battery and work towards the fuse box checking for 12 volts before and behind each connection. It could be as simple as a bad battery cable clamp.

Hi Pivo, any other issues with the trailer? a local dealer is selling a 2017 154bh similar to yours, just want general feedback on the quality of the trailer

It’s a great camper. Fit and finish are excellent and it’s super light. Everything works perfectly and easily. Buy one without reservation.
