Wheel Cover

Lost a front wheel cover/hub cap on my 2010 Jayco Precept 24 SDS while traveling through California. Having a very hard time finding a replacement. Jayco will only sell a complete set at $349. Does anyone here know of a good supplier for this item?

Thanks
Jerry

I had lost a wheel cap back in 2004 (I remember the year because it was our first trip in our new Eagle 5W). I pulled a cap off one from a wheel and stamped on the inside of the cap was a name and a number which I googled. This lead me to the manufacturer which had online purchases of that exact cap. You could try that looking on the inside of one of your existing caps for any information which would allow you to track down a replacement.

John LLRV,
Thanks for the message. If you click on the picture in my post it will show you a close up of the front hubcap.

taviking22,
Thanks for the suggestion. I took hub cap off and looked on back side but it shows a stamp saying made in Taiwan. So doubt if that will do me any good. Thanks again.

I had a similar problem but with a different rig than yours. I FINALLY has success at a local NAPA store in Phoenix. I lost another a couple weeks ago.

Thanks muelldawg, I guess those covers will fall off. I don't know how I lost mine. I always walk around my vehicle after parking and then again before driving. I noticed mine missing in the morning after spending the night in Wally's near Santa Rosa. I suppose I could have missed seeing it missing the night before and could have lost it on the way from Stockton to Santa Rosa. I'd actually prefer to think of it that way. It doesn't do a person any good to decide that somebody ripped them off while sleeping. But it sure pays to make sure everything is always locked up tight to be safe.

Jayco will probably be able to tell you who the supplier was. Some of the newer ones are coming from Dicor (Fastliner).

OnTheGo, thanks for that. I called a Jayco rep in our area and they came back with the answer that they could only get a whole set for me. Will have to try contacting Jayco direct.

I don't have any on hand. Jayco rep says I can probably get just the fronts, but you would need to specify that to your Jayco dealer/rep.
