36KPTS and the 38REFS - which?

Ok, after looking at many fivers over the past few months, we have it narrowed down to the Jayco Pinnacle line. We have it down to two floor plans, the 36kpts and the 38refs. Can anyone that owns either one provide some real world feedback, the good, the bad and the ugly with both. We've seen both at the Hershey show and just waiting for the jayco dealer near me to get them in for another look and a decision. It's really a coin flip, since we really like both, but we're looking for some real world feedback.

We currently have a TT so this will be our first fiver but not our first RV.

We just picked up our KPTS so no real world experience yet. Went with this model as it was the floor plan that worked for us. IIRC it's a little smaller than the REFS too and we were nervous about going too much bigger given our driveway and parking situation at home.

IMHO you can't go wrong with either one of them, they are both beautiful

I have a 2017 KPTS and have not had any issues with it. Just got back from a 1500 mile trip and the only issues I had was keeping the refig door closed, it has the rv frig unit. The only upgrade I have done so far was changing out the bathroom vent to a power open unit because the dw could not reach the vent handle.

We have a 38 REFS and are very happy with it. They are both Pinnacles so it should come down to floor plan. We like the large full den and both the bedroom and bathroom are plenty big enough for us. We've had our adult children come on several trips and sleep on the pull out couches. We bought some memory foam toppers for those and they seemed very comfortable.

This is our first camper but we got used to pulling it quickly and had no issues. It is very comfortable and we have had al out no issues at all.

We STILL love our 2012 36KPTS floorplan.

We have the 2017 pinnacle 36kpts. We love it pulls very well. Really wanted shorter because we like state and national parks. We got the rv refrigerator and the new stove that the top is setup for a griddel. We did not want a residential refrigerator heard people having too many issues. Happy with the panrty and all the storage. We got ours at the end of the 2017 and it is only personal preference but I like the decor in the 2017 more than the 2018. I still am not sure if I like the long shelf under the kitchen upper cabinets. It would be nice to slide a coffee maker all the way back and either hang a paper towel holder from the bottom of the upper cabinets but shelf is in the way. All in all we are very happy with it have taken several trips and very comfortable.

We got the 36KPTS back in May. Started traveling in it in July. Have been using it for 6 months now and have enjoyed every minute of it. A dream to pull and set up, lots of storage especially in the kitchen since we full time now. Very few problems and the one ones we have had have only been minor things. Enjoy. Based on you having a long TT either one would be similar for maneuvering. At that size a couple feet doesn't make much difference.

Boils down to floorplan. Which one do you like better. Of two on a dealer lot, which has the options you want?

we have owned both. had 2012 36kpts. big kitchen slide gave trouble. we now currently own the 38refs. great floor plan. storage is a little sparse. Furrion applicances are not good. Gas oven will not hold oven temp.Replaced oven; auto ignator went out. waiting for replacement.Microwave blew up . It is complety fried. Just started the process of getting replacement. Bauer entry lock doesnt work. already replaced the first one.
The full body paint[merlot] is great. No stickers to peel. G670 goodyear tires . Well worth the money.
