377 Propane Leak

So I think I have a propane leak on my 2017 377. I've got the camper in storage in GA. I don't winterize being we use it all year, every 3 weeks or so. My parking spot has electric so I'm able to keep the heat on overnight if I see the temp will go into freezing. I keep the thermostat to 50 to keep anything from freezing and not use too much gas.

I went to the camper today after having the heat on for 2 days to find what was a 3/4 full 40 lb tank completely empty and the inside of the camper having the scent of propane. Not really strong, but clearly it was propane. Opened some windows and put the fans on for 20 minutes to vent. No way I used that much gas just for the heat in 2 days. Anyone ever have an issue like this? Need to go troubleshoot tomorrow. Hoping I can spot something that'll be an easy fix. Got a 6 night stay on the lake coming up for year end.

Thanks!

Check your gas lines. Maybe a rodent looking for a warm place to hide out. That’s too much gas usage unless it was 20 degrees out all day and night and the furnace never quit.

Not sure why you used that much LP but had the same thing happen. Tank ran out while heat was running and had strong propane smell in rv. Towed it to shop and they did pressure test on lines and found no leak. Repair guy told me when the tank starts to run out sometimes it will leave bad odor inside. Never had it happen again but for safety reasons best to check for leaks.

Several of us have had the propane 'pigtail' lines (between the tank and the regulator) leak or fail. Be sure to check them.

We were getting a deluge earlier. Hopefully there won’t be any flooding.
I didn’t see the train personally but my kids got to see it. It passed through magnolia about 2 blocks away from their school. My oldest took a video of it on his phone that I got to see. Pretty cool.

I had a propane leak that took me a while to find. It ended up being a circular cut on the top of the hose right behind the tires and adjacent to the frame. There was nothing sharp on the frame so either it was a rock that got wedged in there and sliced through or it was that was from the factory. I have always smelled a faint odor in that area but it came and went but I never found the leak till this summer when my tank went dry too.

I have had both pigtails from my tanks to regulator start leaking on my 2017 Eagle. Usually I caught the smell walking by the storage compartment, but once there was some odor inside.

Thank you for all the replies. I found the left side pigtail leaking. Not the hose itself, but the connector on the regulator end.

Glad you found it and let us know! BTW, ours were leaking in the same connector.
