A/C problem

Our 2021 Pinnacle bedroom thermostat is malfunctioning and causes our a/c to come on for a second or two, then shuts off. At times it seems to run appropriately enough to cool the bedroom but many times it shuts off and on in a matter of seconds. In a ten second time period it might go off and on three times.
When we look at the JAYCOMMAND the room temp is all over the place, varying by up to five degrees in just a few seconds.
We have replaced the thermostat sensor twice, removed the sensor from the opening (left it hanging on the wall) to see if the sensor location was causing the variances but no luck. All the connections look fine.
Any ideas how to solve this problem?

A couple of thoughts. Maybe try to swap the bedroom thermistor with the living room see if the issue follows the thermistor. Second, had you checked the connection on the Node (in the basement) to be sure that the connection is secure and nothing got in there to create any issues?

Also make sure no vent or fan is blowing air towards the direction of the thermostat. Ours does this if we have any air movement around the thermostat.

Have you verified that you don't have a low voltage situation which can occur in some campgrounds and often occurs when using an extension cord? Low voltage could be the cause of what you are seeing. ~CA

I isolated the thermostat by unscrewing it from the wall and forming a small box, open at one end around it. That did seem to help some but not completely.

We did try that but no joy. We bought a new sensor but no change.

I would jumper the control wires at thermostat & see if unit runs & stays on. This would tell you real quick if thermostat problem or in unit on roof.
I don't have the Coleman 12volt diagram so I can't tell you which wires
