adjusting height of pin box

recently purchased a fifth wheel Eagle 24.5..How do you adjust height of pin box as it's not level when towing . Dealer should have adjusted as they also installed hitch but didn't.

I've found the hitch to be far easier to adjust than the pin box. Can you raise/lower it to level out your trailer?

this is a Pullrite Superglide Auto hitch that cannot be adjusted height wise so the adjustment must come from pin box.

Make sure when you adjust it you have at least 6" of clearance between the top of the bed rails and the bottom of the trailer. It's just a matter of removing the bolts, adjusting it and reinstall the bolts. Will take at least two people as they are heavy. Best to have two guys on the pin box and a 3rd putting the bolts in. Be sure to torque the bolts to spec. Than after the first trip check the torque again.

If you don't have two strong helpers, you could hitch up the trailer but keep the landing gear down. Unbolt the king pin while still attached to the hitch, then raise the trailer using the landing gear. Once at the correct height, reinstall bolts and torque to specs. I've never done this myself but I have heard and read about this method many times before.

I helped the dealer tech adjust mine. It wasn't too bad with two of us. Only trouble was the way mine is shaped you can't unbolt the back bolts raise and reinsert the bolts then go to the front bolts. We figured out that after removing the rear bolts, you can move it to the desired and then inserted some hefty screwdrivers in the holes to hold it in place. Once the front half was adjusted we had the clearance to install the bolts. The way it pivots the open bolt holes close up a little till it's all straightened out. Helped he had air tools as well.
