When I had my brake problem and needed to check wheel rotation I just put my bottle jack under the axle as close to the backing plate with no problems. Plan on the same if I get a flat and have a big wait on roadside. By the time u get the spare use a breaker bar to losses all the lugs jack and change the tire road service will be there.

Yea, you are right. That is why I want to prepare to change a tire. We have road service but I don't want to get caught.

Jayco recommends jacking using the frame. You think the axle is Ok. It is closer to the ground and would be easier to lift I think.

Yup. U can even put a small 2x4 under the two u bolts and jack from there. To jack from the frame u will be lifting the trailer than spring and than tire
