I'm in the same situation. From the research that I have done, there is nothing else with low profile similar to the mach 8. The Dometic Penguin II is an option with a height profile of 11.25" but I cannot confirm anywhere that it will work with Coleman thermostat controls. The mach 10 which is 11.8" high is the next best option that I could find.
If you can find parts, it may be worth trying to repair your current unit. That may also depend on how badly you need the "ultra" low profile...... good luck!

Since '96, we've owned 5 rv's of different models and configurations and have never replaced an A/C or heat pump on any of them. One was a Carrier and the others were Coleman Mach's. Current rv has two 7 year old Mach 8's and both units still work flawlessly.

That’s good to know. I live right below you and our TT has a Coleman Mach and we were told (new to this lifestyle last year) that the CM was one of the best systems put on RV’s.
Ours since last year has performed flawlessly.

Interesting, trying to figure out what I have on my Eagle, it sits 15 in off the roof to top of the cover. I'm also looking to replace it with something that sits lower, as it is today I'm about 13'7 to the top of the unit from the ground when hooked up.

Our Coleman has started to exhibit an issue I need to resolve. The interior coils freeze up and air doesn't grow through. I put the thermo on fan only and in a few minutes it thaws and works fine for several days (normally). I also clean the filters on a regular basis. When it isn't frozen it cools very well so I'm thinking not low on freon. Anyone else with this issue?
