I have almost the same setup as you're proposing. I have an F-250 and an Eagle 351RSTS with a Sidewinder hitch. Love the hitch except for the occasional hard decoupling, due to the wedge being a little tight. I did have to add a set of airbags on truck due to the pin weight. Haven't regretted the combo thus far.

I have a 2016 321 like you are looking at and we love it. I have a 07 Silverado short bed Duramax, I had a slider hitch and made the switch to a B&W turn over ball and a Andersen Ultimate hitch. This is the best hitch I have ever had. No clanking noise and it is super easy to hitch from any direction, also NO grease and only weights about 45 lbs and my daughters take it out for me. I will say I did add a spring to the rear set on my truck because I felt like the stock 2500 springs felt weak but not now. Another suggestion I would give no matter what truck you order be sure to add Tow Mirrors, I just added some and man how much of a difference that made. This is just my two coppers and hope it helps out.

I don't have exactly what you are looking at getting, but similar. I have 2018 Eagle 293RKDS and stock 2015 RAM 2500 CC 4x4 short bed and B&W Companion hitch. I have towed 5 times with this set up with no problems. I have the hitch set back as far as it will go and on the lowest height setting. I have about 7-8 inches clearance between the bed and bottom of the fifth wheel.

I have a 30.5 mbok I special ordered with a MorRyde Orbital rubber hitch. As mentioned earlier it took some technique to unhitch. I’ve learned to raise hitch till I see a little daylight between pinbox and hitch plate. I then put in reverse and let truck natural go back till it stops. I put emergency brake on and hitch releases easily. I do like the way the hitch functions and it has made it much easier to back up.

Have a 2017 321 Eagle, and 2015 GMC 2500, Reese Elite. No issues at all in two years towing. Love the Eagle, no warranty issues, it all works as it should. Getting it ready today, washed, waxed, vacuumed! You will be satisfied. Get a 3500/350, it's only over load springs but door sticker will give you piece of mind.
