Eagle HT loose mount on entry door gas strut.
On our 2011 29.5 FBDS, I found not long after having it, the mounting bracket on the main door threshold, for the gas strut was becoming loose and bent. This was most likely due to losing one's grip on the door when it got caught by a wind gust, or even just the momentum of the gas strut.
To fix it, I got a threaded ball stud and made a reinforcing doubler plate using some some .100 aluminum. I had to drill the threshold to make a recess for the nut on the end of the ball stud. With some slightly larger & longer screws, it has yielded a trouble free fix to this point.
