Front cap
I know this has been discussed many times on here but what is the warranty on the fading issues on the front cap ? I can’t find anything in the paperwork my dealer gave me when I purchased the RV and I can’t get them to return my call from 2 weeks ago. My decals are also starting to peel off. Thanks

You need to identify the issue within the first two years after your purchase new.... Jayco allowed us up to $1500.00 to have the cap sanded and clearcoated. I added in my own funds to have it painted then clear coated. Take pictures that show the oxidization. Send to your dealer service and to Jayco customer service. It does take some time to get approved. Once fixed make sure you wax it regularly. Paint shop recommended initially 3-5 coats of wax. Now the bugs just don't stick.
YMMV

Figures ours is a few weeks shy of 3 years. This is the first time I actually noticed it fading because it’s way up top. I wash and wax it a couple times a year and I just got to wax it this past weekend and saw it. Maybe I’ll still contact Jayco and see what they say. Tough to see from pictures. Thanks

Yes I would contact Jayco! Given the number of folks who have had this issue they just might do a good faith coverage.
If you can get it done ask that the paint shop paint then clearcoat. Otherwise it will do it again. Ours got 3 coats of industrial Dupont paint and 3 coats of clearcoat. It should last longer than the trailer now!
Ours is due for a full wax job again. Gotta get it washed and back in shed out of the sun and go at it again

Jayco approved $2000 for my front cap to be painted under warranty. Jayco supplied all the decals .

Well I heard back from my dealer and Jayco denied the claim. Not sure what my next step should be if I even have one. I had the dealer email me the estimate and it was for $3,600.00. Not sure if my extended warranty will cover exterior paint but I’ll have to check.

I would contact Jayco directly. $3600 sounds pretty high to paint the cap. I got my cap sanded, repainted and clear coated for $2000.

The dealer has their own paint shop and that’s who wrote the estimate so I’m sure it’s way higher than what a local auto body shop would be. Maybe I’ll email Jayco customer care directly. Thanks

I have a 2017 Eagle HT 29.5 BHDS with what looked like fading on the top half of the nose cap. It actually turned out to be oxidation. I first tried to use regular rubbing compound to remove it and it didn't work.
I bought the following items and did a four step process. After I was done it looked like it was brand new.
Items Purchased:
Meguiar’s M5401 Marine/RV Gel Wash, 1 Gallon
MEGUIAR'S M-4965 MG Fiberglass Oxidation Removal Kit (consists of 3 bottles)
Step one, washed with the gel wash.
Step two, Meguiar's M49 oxidation remover.
Step three, Meguiar's M45 polish.
Step four, Meguiar's M56 wax.
Before you spend 1000s in repaint, I would try that. I am sure a paint shop rather tell you to repaint than just remove the oxidation.

It may be denied due to the price and not because they won't pay for it. Dealer may want more than JAYCO pays for similar repairs. As Ripin SC said I would contact JAYCO direct.

Ok I’ll look into that kit. Thanks
