Front cap scratch repair

Hello,
The dealer notified me that they found two hardly noticeable scratches during the PDI on my new Eagle 293RKDS. They said it's my choice to have it repaired at a body shop they use or leave it go. Their concern is if the repair can be done and not be noticable. My concern is that too, as well as will it fade or such and come back to haunt me down the road.
What do you guys think?

Thanks,
Earl

Hard to see in your picture. I had few under my nose cap. I think I see two little spots under yours in the picture. Mine where a little longer than what you have there if those are the spots. They were suppose to get me touch up paint but it never happened. I finally touched up myself and don't even noticed them anymore. Figured I'd have more eventually. But if they where on the face of the unit I'd probably be a little more picky. Maybe look at them in person and decide if touching them up is acceptable.

I'd probably just leave them, and use that as leverage to get them to throw some other stuff in the deal.

Oh ya..I'd go for some free stuff.
It doesn't take long before you scratch it yourself.
I got over my tree scratches real quick. And I didn't get anything free.

It's covered under warranty, so there is nothing to gain or loose for me or the dealer. It would be repaired at a body shop they use if I choose to do so. So no free stuff.

Hi Earl,

I had 2 spider cracks on the side and front cap repainted at our local collision shop.

The shop did an excellent job and you can't even notice where they fixed the spider cracks. Matched and blended the paint in perfectly.

I would go with getting them fixed - particularly since it's covered under warranty.

The front cap is fiberglass, correct!?
I would think a good body shop should be able to fix the scratches and match the paint with no problem.

Good luck.

I will be looking at the cap scratches the 26th when I do my PDI and take delivery. They already documented them for Jayco. So it can be done later. I will make a decision than. If I get it repaired, it will be over the winter. I'm sure by than I will have some other warranty items to be addressed.

Thanks,
Earl
