Question Furnace Operation Jayco Eagle HT

Can you run furnace with all slides in while in storage?

meachm,

Welcome to JOF

Just a guess here..., but I would tend to think if the retracted slides were restricting the floor heat vents and/or the return cold air flow back to the furnace the possibly of the furnace overheating is possible, thus causing the furnace's high-temp switch shutting the furnace down.

On our eagle all 3 heat vents downstairs are covered by the slide so we don't run furnace with door side slide in.

Yea, if your slides cover any vent it probably wouldn't be a good idea. Our vents are exposed when the slides are in and would probably be ok, but doubt we would ever do it. It heats the place up so quick I can't see a reason to.
